(주)솔리드뷰는 일반 영상 센서로는 보지 못하는 거리 정보를 포함하여 3차원 정보를 실시간으로 촬영할 수 있는 국내 유일의 CMOS 라이다 센서 개발 업체입니다. 라이다 센서는 빛의 비행 시간을 측정하여 물체까지의 거리를 감지하는 센서로 전자파를 이용하는 레이더에 비해 공간해상도가 높아 객체 인식이 가능하고 초음파 센서에 비해 감지 거리가 수백 미터 수준으로 월등히 높은 장점이 있어 자율주행자동차를 위한 핵심 부품으로 주목받고 있습니다. 또한 모바일 기기에서의 가상현실 구현을 위해서 필요한 공간 인식에도 반드시 필요한 주요 부품입니다. 국내 최초로 2009년부터 Time-of-Flight (ToF) 반도체 영상센서 개발을 시작하여 2019년에는 CMOS 라이다 센서 개발까지 성공한 연구 개발팀이 주축이 되어 세계 최고의 라이다 센서를 우리 손으로 만들어보자는 기치 하에 2020년 솔리드뷰를 설립하였습니다. 기존에 개발한 ToF 센서와 라이다 센서의 성능을 혁신할 신기술을 도입하고 빠른 양산화를 통해 곧 다가올 자율주행차 시장을 선점하기 위해 오늘도 끊임없이 연구 개발에 매진하고 있습니다. 한국의 시스템 반도체 분야를 이끌어갈 팹리스 기업으로 자리매김하고자 불철주야 노력하겠습니다.

SolidVue, Inc. is a unique fabless company in South Korea to develop CMOS LiDAR sensors that can take 3D pictures including depth information in real-time. The LiDAR sensor is to detect the distance by measuring the time delay of the emitted light, which is called the time-of-flight (ToF) technique. It is not only superior to radar systems with a microwave in terms of spatial resolution for recognizing objects in detail but also beneficial to ultrasound sensors thanks to the long maximum detectable range up to a few hundred meters, which makes it paid much attention as one of essential parts for self-driving cars. In addition, LiDAR is inevitable to realize metaverse applications in mobile devices because it can recognize space around them clearly. SolidVue under the motto of “Seen the Unseen” was established in 2020 by a research team that developed a semiconductor-based ToF sensor in 2009 and a CMOS LiDAR sensor in 2019 for the first time in South Korea. We aim to ｃreate the best LiDAR sensor product in the world and we are currently focusing on the development of innovative cutting-edge technologies and the realization of mass-production in the early stage for leading the worldwide market of self-driving cars.
